Calibration files are now human readable XML files, using the .mcal file type, which can be manually modified or examined. These files also include OpenCV compatible lens intrinsic information for research projects.
See the page .mcal XML Calibration Files for more detail.
Motive 3.2 expands your options for re-calibrating skeletons. The Update from Selection function now includes the ability to update just the constraints, which realigns the skeleton bone positions without re-scaling the bones, supporting "one skeleton forever" for actors. The option to update both marker positions and bone scaling is still available as well.
Bump Correction - Advanced IMU sensor fusion controls such as Impulse Correction Angle are now available. These properties help handle edge cases especially around sudden impacts and recoil.
Progress indicator - A new progress indicator element for IMU and optical alignment helps in the setup process. The visual shows when to keep rotating the device for alignment until 100% of the required samples are gathered.
See the updated IMU Sensor Fusion page for more details.
We resolved performance issues with VRPN streaming and developed a sample client for testing VRPN streaming. See the page VRPN Sample for information on how to use the client.
Larger Pixel Sizes for PrimeX 120 Cameras - The Max Pixel Size property can accommodate the PrimeX 120 with objects up to 128 x 128 in size, to allow for higher accuracy with close up objects.
Increased Video Exporter File Sizes - The Maximum File Size for video exporters increased to up to 20 GB for larger video files and machine vision applications.
HMD Clip Tool XML Files - The HMD clip tool is now able to load external XML files to allow for custom models.
Edit Mode Masking - You now have the ability to draw masks in Edit mode.
Solver Quality Improvements - Improved solver quality, especially around shoulder rotations and for finger markersets.
