What's New in Motive 3.3
Highlights of new features in Motive 3.3
Duplex Mode
Duplex Mode adds the ability to capture both object mode and MJPEG mode from the same camera at the same time. This allows cameras to be used for both tracking and reference video, unlocking post production markerless workflows.
See the Duplex Mode section of the Camera Video Types page for more information.
Force Plate Updates
We've integrated new Force Plate SDKs from the following manufacturers:
Kistler: support for Ethernet-based force plates is now available.
Bertec: supports tracking 5 or more force plates at once.
Spine Segment Options
We've added a new skeleton model with 5 spine bones and 2 neck bones to better match the actor's natural movement. We've left the classic configuration as the default to accommodate existing workflows.
See the Builder Pane page for more information.
Better Shot List Management
Added the ability to import and export both XML and CSV files for managing take names and notes for large shot lists.
See the Data Pane page for more information.
X120 Full Resolution MJPEG Mode
The PrimeX, VersaX, and SlimX 120 cameras now support running MJPEG video at their full 12 MegaPixel resolution with a new compression option. Different frame rate limitations exist when running in this mode.
Other Highlights
Toe Tracking Improvements - Fix for toes on skeletons not animating well when they lose all their constraints.
FBX Exporter NMotive Options Fix - Fix for missing FBX exporter options in the Motive Batch Processor / NMotive.
HMD Creation License Fix - Fix for issues with HMD clip creation where a skeleton was created instead of a rigid body, not allowing them to be used in Motive:Tracker.
Fix for occasional crash or failure when streaming VRPN data in Edit mode.
