# Status Log

In Motive, the Status Log pane can be accessed under the View tab or by clicking ![Tb18.png](https://v110.wiki.optitrack.com/images/d/d2/Tb18.png) icon on the main toolbar.

Status Log panel lists event messages relating to operations in Motive. Any important issues or statuses in Motive will be logged here. For example, dropped frame rates or malfunctioning devices will be indicated in there. Also, external plugin devices or files that are imported and instantiated will be listed as well.

You can clear the existing status log messages ![StatusLog Clear.png](https://v110.wiki.optitrack.com/images/d/d8/StatusLog_Clear.png) or export the status log ![StatusLog Export.png](https://v110.wiki.optitrack.com/images/e/e0/StatusLog_Export.png) into .txt for support references.
